Certifications
GLOBALG.A.P.
GLOBALG.A.P. is a certificate for vegetables and fruits. This certificate is suitable for buyers (supermarkets) of vegetables and fruits who want to ensure food safety aspects in the production process. Without a valid certificate, a supplier is often not allowed to deliver.
IFS
The International Food Standard (IFS) is designed to facilitate the effective selection of GDO brand food suppliers, based on their ability to ensure safe products and meet contractual and regulatory requirements. It is a recognised model in both Europe and the rest of the world. It is one of the food safety standards recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), an international initiative whose main objective is to strengthen and promote food safety throughout the chain.
PlanetProof
The independent, Dutch quality mark On the way to PlanetProof proves that you are buying a product that is produced more sustainably and is therefore better for nature, environment, climate and animals. With On the way to PlanetProof, farmers and market gardeners strive to have their way of working be in balance with the carrying capacity of our planet.
QS
The QS scheme focuses on process assurance and traceability at all relevant stages of food production and marketing: from production to processing to marketing (farm to shop). After obtaining the certificate, the blue QS logo may be placed on the packaging.
AH Beter voor Natuur & Boer
Every day through its “Beter voor” for programmes, Albert Heijn is committed to making its fresh produce chains as sustainable, transparent and fair as possible. The programme for fruit and vegetable growers is called the Natuur & Boer-programma (Nature & Farmer programme).
TESCO Nurture
TESCO’s Nurture Standard is established for primary production growers who supply their products to TESCO (UK). This standard was created by TESCO itself and can be inspected as an “add-on” to GlobalGAP audits. The Nurture Standard is a certificate that can be seen as “GlobalGAP +,” entirely focused on TESCO’s vision.
SPRING
The Sustainable Program for Irrigation and Groundwater Use (SPRING) is an add-on that addresses responsible water management at farm level. It is designed to be paired with the Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard for plants.
